Declan is an outstanding Master of his Craft; incredibly bright, he works with the whole person, mentally, emotionally & Physically. Declan embodies change.

Through consistent positive feedback & encouragement, he retrained my perception of what I could achieve.

Declan is motivational, inspirational & transformational, working out with him changed my life, my whole mind-set changed as he believed in me - you feel you cannot let him down!

Declan is invested in your personal success. He coaches each of his clients as the individuals that they are. The confidence you get through your training successes will ripple through the rest of your life too.

Truly inspirational, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Hi Declan

I have to say that you are the most enthusiastic and helpful PT that I have known since I have been at the Gym for 14 years. All other PTs I have had to ask for advice, but on entering the Gym, you came straight up to me, introduced yourself, and started giving me advice on how I could increase my performance.

I have two big achievements that I am proud of, at the age of 64 years and 5 months I completed a charity bike ride in the north of Scotland, from Tain to John         O' Groats, which was 86 miles. During the ride after arround 68 miles I over took all bar One of the other riders on a mountain climb. Their ages ranging from mid 20's to early 40's.

I weigh 70 kg, and 5ft 6in tall so I am not very muscular but I was able to achieve my biggest ambition which was to Bench 100Kg, which I finally achieved in July 2012, at the age of 68 and a half years. after a short rest to recover, I benched 60kg, 37 times. The high I had from that was incredible.

Through your inspiration of not giving up I have achieved other personal bests, and 6 months ago, at the age of 70 and a half years, I did 10 dips with 20 Kg on a weight belt.

I have learnt throgh your inspiration, never to give up and always look for new chalanges, however small to achieve.

In preparation for my brown belt grading in Jiu Jitsu, Declan devised a fitness programme that incorporated sport specific techniques combined with core and full body exercises that gave me the endurance and explosive capacity to last a 3 hour grading on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. Those early morning sessions were tough and Declan pushed me right to my limits but the hard work really paid off!

If you have a specific goal but are having problems getting there or don't know where to start, Declan can definitely motivate you and get you past the finishing line!

I can recommend Declan Lynch as an excellent Personal Fitness Trainer. I am a 58 yr old Studio Manager who had joined the gym 6 years ago, having just plodded along doing what I thought was okay in the gym, Declan showed me more variation in my work outs and how to get more out of it and push myself, over a twelve month period I became a hell of a lot fitter, at one point I was having Endorphins Rush, I felt I could have raced Usain Bolt and beat him! He also encouraged me to think a little more about diet and more so the drink. He has a friendly personality and it is through this that he gets you to think a little more about what you are doing.

Regards

Declan is a former Senior Gaelic footballer  winning 3 provincial titles for his County,  School & Club until he started training Men's teams professionally at 21.

Former Gymnast underage, 6th in Ireland, top 8 for many years & top of University.

Captained both his Soccer & Gaelic Football teams, one to a 1st division League Title & County Premier Cup final where a 5 club combination were formed to prevent his team winning everything.

Declan has been Captain or a leader of every group he has ever been involved with including University in 3rd year

He was awarded the very first fair player of the year  age in School  which had a massive affect on his future character. He does not allow anyone he knows get bullied, has always refused despite peer pressure & stands up for the most vulnerable in Society on a weekly basis.

Declan doesn't drink, gamble, litter, consume drugs or smoke except around family funerals/emergencies. Infact he has never even taken a tablet other than aspirin, hay fever & refused to sell protein shakes as some are banned in USA due to cancerous ingredients & are not realistic for life. He promotes healthy realistic diets for life especially the food pyramid.

He suffered a serious knee injury at 16 where he had injections to play in Provincial School final with Teacher but without parental consent which he played. He  walked 8 to 14k per day (unable to drive) on crutches to give a dementia Patient physiotherapy for 5 months despite the fact he could not walk without pain himself as Patient wouldn't listen to anyone else & got her back walking until she was diagnosed with Anaemia  in May 2018 which staff will confirm. He ripped his intercostal (hardest muscle to heal in human body) off the bone when arm wrestling a 6 foot 6 competitor & still drew match with a later ultrasound showing a serious rip across abdomen plus all intercostals & still remains very fit despite this.

He has completed every goal he ever set in life, sport, work, academia & relationships since he turned 18 when it came under his own control, prior to 18 life is not 100% in your own control or effort as Socio economic class is directly correlated with academic achievement & other goals.

He was brought up to be a footballer & carpenter & still loves both. He is now competent at every type of sport since graduating with Honours in Physical Education which was 30% practical, 70% theory (3 & 4 thousand word essays weekly with presentations &  written exams on everything from Biomechanics of Golf to the physiology/sport psychology of every sport). He  is still the same polite strong character he always has been except now he is highly educated & implementing his researched policies on a National & Government level.

His most important goal always has  been & always will be helping those that are unable to stand up for themselves whether that be as club captain or spokesman of family, community, club or County.

He is also an elected School  &  Work Union representative & will run for Council plus beyond in future and will not give up until elected.  He lived with a Politics student during his degree who spoke in European Parliament & would of ran for council in 2013 if his Mother did'nt have dementia for 10 years

He is a cousin of an elected member of  Irish Parliament, Nephew of  a 5 time Olympic Coach & Nephew of another Irish International Walker & Phd holder on his Mother's side where they also never give up until they achieve their goals. His Mother had 5th best exams in Country upon leaving school to become a Nurse & always regretted leaving her Flynn family where her two other brothers did marathons & Iron man's as if they were nothing. You shouldn't leave positive winning environments you love. 25 members of her family completed Cork Marathon this year highlighting the clear drive & positive mental attitudes in the Flynn Gene's where they all live on the family land for generations described by some as the best views in Country.

It all started when He spoke on Radio in 2010 about how Aerobic fitness improves intellectual performance from his dissertation & realised it was his dream job, having been told he had a Radio Voice that easily projects & gets attention.

Most of all he believes in principle to NEVER STOP LEARNING & will continue to study part time all his life up to Phd level as every determined post graduate does.
